Slow down. Look closer. Wander with wonder.

Inspired by J.R.R. Tolkien’s meandering walks, where he dawdled, paused to admire wildflowers, and mused about ancient lore, this gathering invites you to step into the rhythm of slowness and curiosity. Together, we’ll amble through the woods, taking time to notice the small magicks of the world around us. Birds, leaves, forgotten footpaths. A feather on the wind. The way light filters through the trees.

And along the way, you’ll get to know me—Olivia, your friendly neighborhood witch. I love sharing folklore, plant lore, and the little mysteries of the natural world. If you’ve ever wanted to learn what local plants have magickal histories, hear a bit of mythology, or just walk with someone who will absolutely stop to admire an interesting rock with you, this is your kind of gathering.

Who is this for?
Those who find traditional hiking a bit too... purposeful.
People who enjoy storytelling, folklore, and seeing the world through a wonder-filled lens.
Anyone who loves trees, Tolkien, or the idea of wandering rather than “working out.”

What to Bring:
Comfortable shoes (but nothing too serious—we’re not climbing mountains)
A sense of curiosity and appreciation for nature
A thermos of tea, if that feels right

We’ll be walking the Henry Hollow Loop Trail, a 2-mile woodland path'.

Notes for the Journey:

• This is a slow and mindful walk, not a fitness hike.

• Please check the weather and dress accordingly.

• There are restrooms at the Nature Center, and parking is free.

• The trail has uneven ground and can be muddy after rain, so choose footwear with decent grip.
